Koda (aka) Kodabear
2006-2019

Koda,

We adopted her when she was 3 months old. She was a great beautiful dog, who had lived a great life! She has given us so much love, joy, happiness, laughter, adventure and fulfillment. Koda, was an amazing hiking companion, never would stray too far away, always making sure we would all stay together on the trails. Hiking in the mountains and running through the snow was definitely in her element, she would explore nature as if she had a smile on her face. She had a face that would resemble a bear, big brown eyes, with dark liner around them, which is how she got her nickname Kodabear.

There is such a hole in our hearts. We miss you greeting us with your unconditional love, your tail wagging rapidly and whining loudly to express how happy you were when we would come home. We struggle with visions of you in the house; we listen for you and swear we can hear you. We miss you every day. Our hearts are so broken, I hope what they say about Rainbow Bridge is true.

Koda was more than just a companion she was a family member. She will always be imbedded in our hearts. She has given us a lifetime of wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.
“If tears could build a stairway and memories make a lane, I’d walk the path to heaven and bring you home again”

We love you and miss you dearly.

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Lori Schmalz for your empathy, compassion and help during this difficult time.
