Dear Dr. Amy, It’s been a week since you came and helped me say goodbye to Ginger. I wanted to thank you. I still cry, but I know she’s better off. You were so perfect. I can’t thank you enough for how you handled every moment. My husband picked up her ashes and paw print yesterday. I think I told you that we are moving to Hawaii. My daughter and I sailed off on a road trip starting this past Monday. Being out of the house and away from all the reminders helps to ease the pain. I’m going to spread Ginger’s ashes in the ocean. Although she never made it to Hawaii, she loved the water. It seems fitting. I mentioned to you that I am a retired anesthesiologist. My new adventure in life is full-time writing. I have a blog and today I posted about Ginger. I thought you might like it, so here is the link: http://sherrygormanbooks.com/2014/03/27/goodbye-my-love/ I wish you much success and happiness in life. You are truly special and I am so grateful that it was you that took Ginger’s suffering away.

Aloha, Sherry Gorman
